Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Yoru Discord bot, website and dashboard (together, "Yoru") collect, why, and what choices you have. Yoru is operated by Nocturnal District.

1. Information Yoru collects

Yoru only collects what it needs to run its features:

• Discord identifiers: server, channel, role, message and user IDs, plus usernames or display names where a feature shows them (for example, wheel entries and leaderboards).
• Server settings: configuration chosen by server staff, such as log channels, welcome and boost messages, embed templates, automod and starboard settings, and temp voice channel presets.
• Feature data you create: content you submit to features such as reminders, AFK messages, check-ins, vents, quotes and giveaway or wheel entries, kept as needed to deliver that feature.
• Activity data: leveling XP and similar counters, and moderation records such as actions, reasons and the moderator involved.
• Dashboard sign-in: when you log in with Discord we receive your basic profile and the list of servers you are in (the "identify" and "guilds" permissions). We never see your Discord password.

Yoru reads messages in channels it can access only so that features like automod, leveling, sticky messages and AFK can respond. It does not keep a general archive of your messages.

2. How the information is used

• to run Yoru's features and remember each server's settings;
• to let server staff manage Yoru from the dashboard;
• to prevent abuse, fix bugs, and keep Yoru secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Vents

Vent posts are shown to other members without your name. Technical records needed to prevent abuse may be kept and may be visible to the bot operator.

4. Where data is stored

Yoru runs on third-party providers: Railway (bot hosting), Supabase (database) and Vercel (website and dashboard). They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Data may be stored in the United States.

5. Cookies

The dashboard uses a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. Yoru does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Retention and deletion

Data is kept while Yoru is in use in a server or until you ask us to delete it. To request a copy or deletion of your data, or to have a server's data removed, contact us in our Discord server. We aim to handle requests within 30 days. Some records may be kept longer where needed to prevent abuse or comply with law.

7. Children

Yoru is meant for people who meet Discord's minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age. If you believe this has happened, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
